I’m starting to realize I really enjoy simplistic games when I want a moment to relax, but still game. When I came across Potted Pets at PAX East I was instantly hooked by the adorable art. Each pot was fully customizable for a variety of different sizes, shapes, and colors. I enjoyed the small details of handles, eyes, and even having the pot in a kiln while it was being customized. I even got to name my new pot before bringing it to life. Each pot size had a different function, from being able to plant trees in bigger pots to blueberries in the water pots. I thought it was clever that they made it somewhat realistic to how these plants would survive and grow in the real world. While I only played the demo for a short time, there was so much more I wasn’t able to experience. Planter’s Box explained to me that there are crystal pots that will gather and even fight off crows which I thought would be a nice addition of automation to my cozy little potted pet farm. I also noticed that sometimes bugs would appear that would also need to be swatted away. If you are looking for your next simple, but yet cozy farming game Potted Pets is one to add to your Steam Wishlist.
