When a story is told well, one that makes me laugh, cry, and even feel angry, then I know I’ve experienced a truly great piece of art. Perfect Tides: Station to Station is one of those games. Its raw storytelling, emotional highs and lows, and expressive animation come together to create a point-and-click adventure that’s hard to put down. There are only a handful of games that I find difficult to walk away from, and Perfect Tides: Station to Station is one of them.

I love Asteroids. One of my fondest memories is going to the local bowling alley as a kid and playing it in their small arcade, which was definitely a thing back in the day. I even ended up on their high score leaderboard and held a spot in the top five for quite some time. So when I saw Aluna Rift, a new arcade-inspired game that clearly takes cues from Asteroids, I was hoping it would capture that same nostalgic feeling for me.

The story is riveting, the voice acting superb, the artwork stunning, and the job system lets me create virtually any type of character I want.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a welcome addition to the rogue-like family, mixing amazing fluid animations and satisfying combat. It provides an enjoyable progression without the feeling of having to start over every time I would die. I am excited to continue playing this game and finding all the secrets and ability combinations that come with each run.
